Pricing and Quilting Choices:

You have just finished piecing the top of your beautiful quilt and you are now wondering how you are going to finish it.  Time is always precious to us and we must use it very skillfully to get things done. So before you let another quilt go unfinished due to no time to finish it yourself let me do it for you.   I am here to help finish your quilt for you on my Gammill Optium Plus long arm quilting machine.  I will sandwich your quilt between the batting and the backing and quilt beautiful designs on it so that everything will be held together for years to come. Once you see how easy it is to get your quilt done you will want to start another soon that’s what keeps quilters going from quilt to quilt.

Quilting Choices:

• Edge-to-Edge: is a single pattern design quilted over the entire top from left to right.

• Meandering: is a free-hand quilting motion in one design over the entire quilt.

• Custom: is heavy quilting with many different sets in designs, small stippling, outlining
  meandering around appliqués and echo quilting

• Basting: is for the hand quilter or home machine quilter. The basting is done in rows down the length of the quilt with stabilization of the sides.

• Binding: is attached by machine with the customer’s own material to the front of the quilt and is hand finished to the back.  Half binding is also offered so that the customer can finish his or her own quilt.  I would attach the binding but would not hand sewing the binding to the back. Binding is cut at 2 ½ inch stripes and folded and attached finish binding is about a ½ inch.

• Batting: can be provided by customer or can be purchased from me.  If customer is to provide batting the only batting not excepted is the buffalo very puffy batting.  I carry the Hobbs Heirloom that is 80% cotton and 20% poly batting which shrinks about 4% and it give the quilt a very traditional style finish.

• Thread:  White/ Natural No extra charge. Color or Variegated add $3.00

• Sergering: Sergering is binding al three layers of the quilt together after the top has been quilted and before binding is applied using a serg machine.  Thread is included in pricing for this service

Quilt Top Preparation:

1. Carefully press the quilt top, seams should lay flat.

2. Be sure all seams that end at the edge are secure.

3. Clip threads tails, and remove all loose threads.
   (Dark threads left on the underside can show through on lighter quilt tops.)

4. Indicate the top of your quilt, please secure with a safety pin.

Quilt Backing Preparation:

1. Backing, whether pieced or whole cloth, MUST be a minimum of 4 inches wider and 4 inches longer on all sides of your quilt top.

2. If your backing is seamed at least a ¼ inch seam.
   Your backing will lay better if you use a ½ inch and pressed open.

3. Bobbin thread and top thread must be the same so pick a backing
   that the thread from the top will go with.
